Why glassfibre reinforced concrete?

Durable & bespoke cladding

Glassfibre reinforced concrete

Durable & formable facade cladding

If you are starting construction on a new build or beginning a renovation project, GRC is suitable for both, with its long durability, low weight, and great formability. Through design and manufacturing we help you create unique, durable, and facade cladding with low environmental impact for your next project.

There are clear advantages of working with GRC and material properties that make GRC not only easy to work with, but also exciting.

With GRC you do not need to worry about replacements and repairs as the material is extremely durable. GRC has a lifespan of more than 100 years without the need for technical maintenance and it is resistant to all weather conditions – from extreme heat to freezing cold. Furthermore, GRC does not burn, rot, rust, nor dent. Our GRC has an A1 fire classification in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018.

GRC elements are easy to handle and a financially sensible choice for your project. The material is lightweight and our elements are typically only 12 mm. The low weight lessens the loads on buildings and coupled with the thinness of the elements, it is easy to pack and transport. The low weight also reduces transportation costs and GRC has a low price per square meter.

Your creativity and architectural ambitions set the tone. GRC is a very versatile and formable material that can be shaped and detailed both in terms of geometry and surface. You can design both simple and complex shapes and curves, and the surface can be detailed by exposing aggregates or moulding the GRC on different patterns. GRC has a natural white colour and with the use of pigments we can colour the GRC in the desired colour for your project.

Our GRC elements have a long lifespan of more than 100 years. Compared to other building materials, such as wood and metals, GRC does not rot, rust, dent, nor burn. This long durability entails fewer life cycle costs for your building and you do not need to worry about replacements of our elements.

Do you want to know about the material properties of GRC?

GRC cladding requires minimal maintenance and can easily be cleaned so it appears new again. Our elements do not require any technical maintenance and our GRC is resistance towards all kinds of weather. Our latest development of a new generation of GRC has achieved an even better finish and a denser surface. This has increased the resistance towards algae and dirt.

Thus, you do not need to worry about replacements of our elements within 100+ years – not even in more harsh climates. Hence, our elements contribute to cutting down operating and maintenance costs.
