Built to last

Dommerparken
Original GRC cladding reused after decades, looking as good as new, and proving its durability and reusability.

First installed in the late 1980s, the GRC facade elements at Dommerparken were given a second life during a renovation in 2009–2011.

The Dommerparken renovation demonstrates the incredible durability and reusability of GRC.

By reusing original facade elements after more than 20 years, the project at Dommerparken highlights how the design life of high-quality GRC can reduce waste and lower lifecycle costs.

First installed in the late 1980s, the GRC facade elements at Dommerparken were given a second life during a renovation in 2009–2011. Instead of discarding the original cladding, the elements were carefully demounted, cleaned, and reinstalled, with only minimal replacements. Almost 40 years after the original installment, the GRC facade still stands strong.
