The 16 balconies at Sommerstedgade showcase GRC’s ability to achieve the look of solid concrete while remaining lightweight and adaptable to every architectural aesthetic.

At Sommerstedgade 21–23, we collaborated with Balco Altaner A/S to deliver 16 lightweight GRC balconies, totalling 112 m². The design integrates GRC balcony floors and soffits encapsulating a load-bearing steel structure, offering the appearance of solid concrete with reduced weight. Manufactured with a non-slip pattern, the balconies combine functionality and aesthetics, complementing the building’s architecture and surroundings.
