Unique shapes & architectural design
SKY PARK is a unique multipurpose project in the centre of Bratislava, integrating 20.000 m2 of public park, more than 700 apartments and 55.000 m2 of office and retail space. The international renowned studio Zaha Hadid Architects, known for experimental designs that challenge the boundaries of architecture, is behind the development along with Penta Real Estate.
Organic shapes made possible with GRC
GRC elements from BB fiberbeton were used as part of the facade solution for the three organically shaped residential towers. This project truly tested the boundaries of architecture and the ability to create complex shapes is exactly what is unique about GRC. The formability and versatility of materials was in the forefront of this project, and it is a prime example of the vast architectural possibilities with the GRC.
BB fiberbeton delivered approx. 3.500 facade elements, corresponding to around 13.700 m2 GRC in 650 variants. The facade elements have a standard smooth surface and are coloured in BBf no.01 white. The mounting solutions for this project consisted of a combination of embedded steel frame, embedded steel brackets, and recessed holes. All these solutions allowed for an easy and concealed installation.
Award winning construction
This project won numerous awards at the CIJ Awards, the longest-running commercial property awards event for Slovakia. SKY PARK by Zaha Hadid won in the categories; Best Office Development for SKY PARK Offices project, Best Standard Residential Development, and Best Architectural Development for the residential part of the project - SKY PARK Residence. The SKY PARK Residence project also received the Grand Prix, as it had the best overall results among all competitors.
The large design studio is known for its exicting forms and for constantly challenging the boundaries of architecture with an experimental design language. That is why it has been an interesting project for us. The organic shapes are exactly what is unique about glassfibre reinforced concrete

Durable, lightweight, formable
GRC cladding
Through design and manufacturing we help architects, entrepreneurs, and builders create unique, durable, and sustainable facades. Whether you are starting construction on a new build or embarking on a renovation project, GRC is suitable for both.
Glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC or GFRC) is incredibly versatile and grants you an architectural design freedom with almost endless possibilities. With the formability of GRC you can achieve any geometry and with a surface designed for your specific project. GRC is a lightweight material and our cladding elements are typically only 12 mm. Thus, making it easier to work with and transport whilst also easing the load on buildings.
GRC is an excellent facade material if durability and sustainability is of great concern and importance. GRC is durable for more than 100 years without any technical maintenance and it does not dent, rot, corrode, nor burn (class A material). With a sustainable material and an environmentally friendly production without toxic materials, GRC elements from BB fiberbeton are ideal for environmental certifications, such as LEED, DGNB, and BREEAM.
GRC is made of white cement and fine aggregates and reinforced with glassfibre. Elements are produced using a special spray-technique that allows for a low water/cement-ratio, a low thickness, and a high strength.
