A modern office building in central Lund
Posthornet is a major addition to modern office spaces in central Lund and the building is right next to Lund's main railway station and next door to Kristallen municipal hall, another building with a fiber concrete facade made of BB fiberbeton.
The name of the building – Posthornet – refers to the address’ history, which previously housed a post office. The new six-seven-story office building houses both shop and various company offices. The building has been awarded the Stadsbyggnadsprisen by Lund Municipality and the building’s facade has two distinctive architectural designs.
Complex & wavy facade elements
BB fiberbeton manufactured around 70 facade elements in a complex wavy geometry, all mounted with embedded steel frames. When the elements were designed back in 2016-2017, the architect helped develop a new black/dark gray color specifically for this project.

GRC is durable for more than 100 years without any technical maintenance and it does not dent, rot, corrode, nor burn (class A material). With a sustainable material and an environmentally friendly production without toxic materials, GRC elements from BB fiberbeton are ideal for environmental certifications, such as LEED, DGNB, and BREEAM.
GRC is made of white cement and fine aggregates and reinforced with glassfibre. Elements are produced using a special spray-technique that allows for a low water/cement-ratio, a low thickness, and a high strength.
